Troop 868's annual picnic is a chance for all families with scouts in the troop to kick-back, relax, enjoy some great food, swap stories, and just fellowship together.  And, oh yeah, did we mention football?  A football game is obligatory for a fall gathering!

This year's picnic was held in the Cub World campsite at the Old Kentucky Home Scout Reservation and featured a pig roast.  The meat was expertly prepared by Mr. McBride and other troop families brought covered dishes, drinks, and deserts to contribute to the meal.  There was certainly no shortage of great food.

Mr. McBride was in charge of the pig roast. Chow time!
Scoutmaster Meek loads up with a plate of pork. Chris warms up his passing arm.
And now it's time for football. A familiar scene at any "friendly" football game.
The "Mom Squad" watches as the boys --- both young and old --- play. This football stuff is thirsty work!
